Understanding developing road scenarios is key to improving good driving habits and skills. When faced with different types of situations there are a number of factors that a driver has to consider within a very short space of time. We have recently developed a number of these types of clips for the DVSA Theory Test to replace the stills that they currently use and these are called Visual Media clips. The DVSA see the benefit of using CGI technology for the test as an opportunity to show a situation from multiple angles, this not only helps road safety professionals ask multiple questions about a given situation it also accelerates the learning for young drivers and gives them a better understanding of how to assess risks when faced with these types of situations. In the clip below is a scenario where the sun is setting and we demonstrate how easy it is to not to have evaluated the situation and not noticed that in front of the car is a motor cyclist!
